One of the most pivotal releases this year comes from PlayStation with Astro Bot. “Its innovative use of the DualSense controller, stunning visual design, engaging audio, and charming narrative make it pure bliss to play and most definitely give Nintendo a run for their money!” Rectify Gaming wrote for its review, scoring the game a 9.5/10.

Even more, Astro Bot did receive a suite of post-launch add-ons. This fall, the game welcomed a helping of new stages to the game with each offering even more cameo bots to the full game at no additional cost. However, there was a caveat that could not be overlooked. It was confirmed that Square Enix did not accept featuring its characters in Astro Bot according to Astro Bot developer Team Asobi.

This week, Astro Bot is getting festive with a new holiday update. On Thursday December 12th. Astro Bot will introduce the ‘Winter Wonder’ update which paints the game with a Christmas theme in anticipation for the holiday this month.

“As our way of saying thank you, it is my pleasure to announce that a whole new piece of free additional content is coming to Astro Bot. Indeed, the little robotic elves of Team Asobi have been very busy preparing a whole new level called Winter Wonder,” Team Asobi studio director Nicolas Doucet shares. “You will need to have completed the game for this special update to appear.

“Since we want it to remain a little surprise, we will not say too much, but you should expect a fun-filled level with shiny presents, a good dose of jingle bells, and brand-new special bots to add to your crew! This winter update was made with every user in mind, meaning it is a celebration enjoyable for children and adults alike. So, no hair-pulling challenge this time! :) We had a lot of fun making this special present for you all, and we hope you enjoy it very much, too.”

Are you planning to return to Astro Bot for the Winter Wonder update?
