While we have been enjoying the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 from Treyarch, Raven Software, and Activision, rumors have started for future Call of Duty games. According to reliable insider on X (Twitter), TheGhostOfHope, Infinity Ward will be the developers for Call of Duty 2026 which is scheduled to release late in the year.
The leaker goes on to say that Call of Duty 2026 will use the new Omnimovement that we’ve seen for the first time in Black Ops 6 and Wall Running which is also planned for Call of Duty 2025. Ghost also goes on to say that Infinity Ward will be remastering a large chunk of Modern Warfare 3 (2011) multiplayer maps mixed with some original maps for their game.
What I am hearing about Infinity Ward's next game:

Infinity Ward's next game is currently scheduled for late 2026.
Infinity Ward will be utilizing Omnimovement and Wall Running (Which is currently rumored to be a feature in COD2025 as well) in their game.

As usual with rumors like this we must take them with a grain of salt as a lot can change within the next 2 years for the next Call of Duty games. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Infinity Ward go this route after Modern Warfare III (2023) which featured remakes of classic MW2 maps from 2009.
