‘The Namco Legendary Pack’ Arrives Today To Atari 50: Anniversary Celebration

One of the most impressive archival releases came from Digital Eclipse in 2022 with Atari 50: Anniversary Celebration. The title ships with a compilation of titles and explored the history of the platform that founded the industry we indulge in today. The developer went on to ship post-launch content adding more to the base game. In December 2023, we saw this with the ‘Holiday Content Update’ then.

Additionally, there was also ‘The Wider World of Atari Update’ which further delivered more titles to Atari 50: Anniversary Celebration including the likes of Avalanche, Berzerk, and Sky Diver. In 2025, it also marks a significant year for one of the most hallmark Atari releases – Pac-Man. Bandai Namco even went ahead to bankroll a balloon for the upcoming Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade later this month.

From Digital Eclipse, the developer is launching a new update to commemorate Pac-Man and the greater Namco legacy with ‘The Namco Legendary Pack’. The DLC is now live on all platforms for $7.99. You can read the full list of featured games below:

“‘The Namco Legendary Pack’ features the fan-favorite PAC-MAN for Atari 2600, along with an assortment of titles from the Atari 2600, Atari 5200, and Atari 7800, including GALAGA, DIG DUG, XEVIOUS, and GALAXIAN,” the press release reads for the paid DLC. As illustrated in the list, this new bundle includes versions of classic Namco releases in its many Atari & arcade versions.

“Players can able to jump straight into any game or explore the collection chronologically through Digital Eclipse’s signature interactive timeline featuring developer interviews, archival documents, photos from the era and more.” The DLC continues the trend of offering playable experiences and diving into the background of the titles and its creation.
