Boss Key Head Shows Concepts Of Pitched Games

Following the events of what happened to Cliff Bleszinski’s studio Boss Key Productions closing yesterday, he went to Twitter to show off some concepts of titles that were pitched previously.
First game codenamed “DragonFlies”, would be an PVE with samurais, zombies and dragons. With their own fictional setting combining feudal Japan with steampunk, nicknamed “Feudalpunk”, and be based as floating islands. Own airships that you and your friends can own that you can store your planes (Dragons) on. Would feature cosmetics to customize your player and dragon. And players could find dragon eggs that they could later hatch  and raise different dragon variants.

Second game was a VR title codenamed “Rover”, and would have players control these DOG (Destructive Ordinance on the Ground) walkers and combat in multiplayer. Primarily set to be a 5v5v5v5v5. And for the world’s toxic atmosphere if the dog mech leaked players would have to equip gas masks, rappel down, and weld the leaks shut. And for more player interactivity, crew mates could throw supplies at them to assist in fixing the leak.

This third game being another VR title codenamed “Donut”, referring to water tubes. Similar to Mario Kart, but racing on water for the game’s majority. Bleszinski saying this would be his own sequel to the game Toobin. Players could drink ginger (beer) for health, shake up full cans for attacks, and use roman candles to pop other tubes.

Seeing these concepts is amazing yet saddening that potential this studio had won’t be used, and hope to see both Cliffy B and the Boss Key team again in the videogame industry.
