Nintendo’s Online Service went live a week from today and many faced the problems instantly that came with it. The major one being unable to secure your cloud saves if your subscription for the service exceeds its expiration date. Leaving fans angry as there’s no safety net if they forget to keep up with the payment for the service.

According to IGN, a spokesman from Nintendo told the outlet that for whoever is incapable of renewing their online service will be able to regain access to their cloud saves once continuing their membership within the six months of their subscription ending.

Similar to Sony’s PlayStation Now, it’s reassuring to see members are able to keep their data safe if deciding to use the cloud. With the online service being the best deal when compared to its competitors with a $19.99 price tag for a year, it’s something you wouldn’t want to miss out on. And for classic fans, the subscription offers a library of NES titles to choose from to play on the go with Nintendo’s hybrid console.

It was revealed previously that some games won’t have the option to support cloud saves and fans will have to rely on the internal storage or and external device to carry their progress.
