Coming from the bevy of announcement that developer Riot Games made back in October, the team revealed that there will be a bevy of first-party projects that are already underway: one being the dungeon crawler set in the League of Legends universe, codenamed Project F. However, Riot Games also made some more recent announcements during this year’s annual Game Awards show regarding another title.

This time though, newly founded publisher Riot Forge announced in partnership with Airship Syndicate that a new title is on the way, Ruined King: A League Of Legends Story. You can witness the teaser for the new game below:

While sharing this new title will still keeping this new project vague, Riot Forge discloses that players will be able to play a list of different champions as visit Shadow Isles for the first time. Revealing more on the game, Ruined King will be a turn-based RPG set in the world of Runeterra following the aftermath of Burning Tides. Set in the city of Bilgewater, players should expect a new experience for the League of Legends universe.

Excitingly announcing the collaboration with Airship Syndicate, Riot Forge specifically names studio co-founder Joe Madureira who along with the rest of the team’s artistic capabilities will truly breath more life into the already alive League of Legends world. “We feel the partnership with Airship Syndicate is perfect for us. Creating a story-driven, turn-based RPG is something we are super excited to see come together. League of Legends lends itself well to RPG-style gameplay due to the diversity of champions and stories that we are able to tell.”

Regarding more information on the title, that is where the trail dries up. Alike the other unnamed projects that are housed within Riot Games, only time will reveal more of what is planned for the additions coming to the world of Runeterra.

Ruined King: A League Of Legends Story does not have a slated release date, but is clarified to be in development for consoles as well as PC.
