Microsoft and Stoic Games have announced that their Viking based RPG game The Banner Saga is headed to Xbox One next month. The studio’s founder and Technical Director John Watson spoke on Xbox Wire about the game and some of the changes that were made for consoles. According to Mr. Watson

Blending an RPG with turn based tactical combat The Banner Saga lets you live through an epic role-playing Viking saga where your strategic choices directly affect your personal journey. Make allies as you travel with your caravan across this stunning yet harsh landscape. Carefully choose those who will help fight a new threat that jeopardizes an entire civilization. Every decision you make in travel, conversation and combat has a meaningful effect on the outcome as your story unfolds. Not everyone will survive, but they will be remembered.

Some technical changes were made in order to assure the feeling of the game’s PC version was transferred over to console in order to ensure the optimal quality of game. All of your choices you make in game will also carry over to The Banner Saga 2 which is also in production for Xbox One. The Banner Saga will release on January 12th, 2016 on Xbox One.
