March is just a month away and information slowly starts to churn out for the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Just last week, Nintendo revealed that the game will also ship with a specialized Nintendo Switch bundle that is accompanied with a paint job resembling the titular horizon and reflection of the surround water.
Now a week later, more information has surfaced for the upcoming title. According to a leak on Reddit, poster Rocco_Morrashow uploaded an image of the game’s case, more specifically the back of the box. When reading some of the details printed on the case, it reveals that the game will only take up 6.2 GB exactly on your Nintendo Switch.

Although we now have a confirmation on what exactly the file size for New Horizons will be, the amount taking up surely is not a shocker. Alike other Nintendo-published titles previously on the Switch, Nintendo has a track record of super compressing these games which makes the impossible possible. While third-party releases suffer from the restricting Nintendo Switch breaking 20 GB at times, Nintendo makes their big budget projects fit at a smaller size while not compromising the game’s experience.
Concerning more details about the new Animal Crossing entry, industry insiders suggest that we might possibly have more to learn in the coming weeks. Elsewhere this week, @New_SabiWabi disclosed that Nintendo has two scheduled Directs that are planned to arrive later this February: one being a standard presentation while another is focused on the upcoming New Horizons.
