Nintendo when it comes to their on & off scheduling for their livestreamed Direct presentations is hard for many fans to speculate when exactly the showing will be hosted. Although players could be patient for when the company is ready to share that a Direct is on the way or abruptly host one, countless people do have a certain eagerness that can only be resolved by discovering ahead of official word.
Last month, or last year really, Nintendo made a tweet suggesting that fans tune in for the then-coming annual Game Awards show as there is bound to be some sort of reveal during the awards ceremony. Many having high hopes especially looking that last year’s announcement did not fail to disappoint with the debut of Persona 5’s Joker for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, the pedigree of excitement could be ranked otherwise as none of the highly-anticipated predictions were actually revealed.
But now leading to this coming Direct, there is more weight on Nintendo’s shoulders to provide an equally exciting announcement along with an addition of games to go with the show. And it looks that there might be some tangible proof that the online presentation is upon us according to Twitter user @YuYuKamii who discloses that a handful of games are listed to be coming to Nintendo Switch through added SKUs registered in the GameStop database.
Looking at the spreadsheet provided, it shares that about 12 different games are planned to arrive to Nintendo Switch. Assuming these titles are expected to arrive within the year for 2020. The remaining SKUs not associated with the ‘NSW’ wording best bet to be multiplatform titles.
Reflecting on Nintendo’s track record, the company typically will host a Direct sometime in January as they have done previously. However, there is the off chance that the presentation could arrive the following month in February as they have done on rare occasions. But with Nintendo most notably hosting the Direct in the first month of the year, the likeliness lies within the coming week or two.
