Concerning Apex Legends for its latest blanket season with ‘Breakout’, the live-service battle royale has reshaped itself with no addition of new Legend or map. The new perk system fixed for each character brings diversity to the gameflow alongside console welcoming 120hz as well. The events also show to be engaging with The Hunt for a limited-time in the ‘Inner Beast Collection Event’ prior.

The more recent ‘Shadow Society Event’ upped the ante with a separate Lockdown game mode that is permanently added to Mixtape. Additionally, players also got to witness the new universal heirloom ‘Cobalt Katar’ which was added then too. Beyond the core content, battle royale could be put to rest finally. Electronic Arts in one statement confirmed that it is exploring more beyond the genre that launched with the game.

This week, the next major event comes to Apex Legends. From April 23rd to May 7th, the ‘Urban Assault Collection Event’ goes live for Apex Legends. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

One of the biggest adds to Apex Legends in this event is the new ‘Apex Rumble’ feature for the base game. “Think you’ve got what it takes to be at the top? Welcome to the Apex Rumble Beta—the beginning of an exciting new way to compete that we hope to evolve with your feedback. This all-new asynchronous tournament system allows you to test your skills against your competition while earning points to climb the leaderboards against similarly skilled competitors.

“Points are awarded for your placement, kills, assists, and damage. Once an Apex Rumble has concluded, rewards will be delivered based on your overall placement. Apex Rumble kicks off with the Urban Assault Rumble, where you’ll jump into Three Strikes matches. There are no pre-made squads here—just you, your skills, and a ton of flying bullets. Should you choose to, re-enter the fray with Legend Tokens to reset your score and charge back into battle.”

What’s more, the next Mythic Skin comes to Apex Legends with Octane’s newest ‘Apex Riptide’ skin for acquiring all 24 items from the collection event. Excitingly, Three Strikes does make a return for the game alongside more pronounced teases for the next season coming in just a few short weeks to Apex Legends.

What has you excited for the Urban Assault Collection Event?

Apex Legends is out for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
