Dating back to May of this year, it was almost certain that the first installment of the Devil May Cry series might be the only installment to grace the Nintendo Switch as other competing platforms were already greeted with the complete HD collection of Dante’s saga. However, that ended to not be the case as we later witnessed in September when Devil May Cry 2 arrived to the eShop.

Now just a few months following the sequel’s Switch release, the third in the series is now scheduled to release this coming February for Nintendo’s hybrid handheld console.

Highlighting that this will be the Special Edition of Devil May Cry 3, there will be a few extra goodies that will come to this version that was not in the original 2005 title. That being the addition Bloody Palace, Vergil as a playable character, the Very Hard difficulty mode, and new costumes for you to dress Dante in aside from his standard trench coat.

Looking ahead for the now trilogy being available on Nintendo Switch, it is practically inevitable that the fourth installment will be available for the eShop at some point later in 2020. However, hopes for the HD Collection might not be as likely looking that Capcom is charging $19.99 for each of the three so far, it wouldn’t benefit the publisher to also release the bundle of games for the estimated $29.99 that is listed on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Do you own any of the games on Nintendo Switch already?

Devil May Cry 3 is scheduled to arrive to Nintendo Switch on February 20, 2020.
