Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero ‘Super Limit-Breaking NEO’ DLC Releases July 30

Bandai Namco announced that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC will launch on July 20, 2026 for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series, and PC via Steam.

The developer released an in-depth look at the upcoming Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC highlighting its new solo mode, Limit Breaker Journey, along with 33 new playable characters spanning Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball GT. The DLC also expands the game with four new Episode Battles, new Extra Battles, and four all-new stages.

The DLC’s new solo mode, Limit Breaker Journey, lets players take a favorite character and develop them into a fighter suited to their own playstyle. Players will be able to choose destinations across a map, taking on battles and events that strengthen their character with each run.

A stamina system adds an element of risk and reward, as movement consumes stamina and lowers a character’s starting health in battle. Opponent strength is represented by “SP,” with tougher enemies granting more EXP, and special events allowing players to meet specific characters, equip stat-boosting Battle Art, and train for additional EXP.

As players increase their SP, they earn points to allocate across six parameters, with characters strengthened in Limit Breaker Journey carrying their enhanced stats into Player Matches and Offline Battles.

The free update that is also launching with the Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC introduces two new battle mechanics first revealed in the announcement trailer.

“Sparking! Boost” consumes a larger amount of Skill Stock to sharply raise attack power while in Sparking! mode for one decisive offensive burst, at the cost of temporarily reduced stats once the effect ends.

“Chain Blast” lets players follow up after sending an opponent flying by switching in a reserve ally and continuing the assault with a Blast for massive damage. The free update also adds three new variations of existing stages, in addition to the four all-new stages included in the DLC.
