EA Play 2019: L-Star Weapon, Ranked Mode, & 10th Legend Revealed For Apex Legends

EA Play has kicked off and Respawn Entertainment have shared more information and updates on Apex Legends Season 2. This upcoming season is called ‘Battle Charge’ and will offer more than the first battlepass had including new challenges, skins, and crafting materials.

One of the other additions we expected for Season 2 was a new weapon and right off the bat the L-Star will be making the return from Titanfall 2. It’s a Plasma Fueled EMG with a new ammo type, experimental. You can see the images below:

For the first time Apex Legends will have a new ranked mode in Season 2 and the 10th legend to join the game is ‘Wattson‘ known as a Static Defender. Here are her abilities:

Tactical Ability – Perimeter Security

Connect nodes to create electrified fences that damage and slow enemies.

Passive Ability – Spark Ability

Ultimate Accelerants fully charge your Ultimate Ability, and standing near interception pylons boosts your Tactical Ability recharge.

Ultimate Ability – Interception Pylon

Place an electrified pylon that destroys incoming ordnance and repairs damaged shields as long as it stands. (Max: 3)

There wasn’t much else fully detailed yet about Wattson from Respawn themselves, but we expect they will post official details soon regarding the 10th legend. Here is a 3D model shown of Wattson:
