
It was truly heart breaking when originally discovering that after Tim Willits’ 24th consecutive attendance at this year’s annual Quakecon that he would be stepping down from his role as studio head at id Software to pursue newer pastures in his horizon. Now, Willits has revealed to be making the next addition to the development team over at Saber Interactive.
Although Willits will be working on Saber Interactive’s current lineup of projects like NBA Playgrounds, World War Z, and the upcoming Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered, Willits will also be taking charge of 2016’s Quake Champions as well.

Saber Interactive though based is Mapplewood, New Jersey holds five different developers throughout the globe which extends to Belarus, Russia, Spain, and Sweden. Atop of the remake for Terminal Reality’s 2009 title, Saber Interactive is also working alongside CD Projekt Red towards crafting the impressive port for The Witcher 3: Complete Edition which is expected to release on Nintendo Switch later this year.
