Koei Tecmo rumored to be developing new Nintendo Warriors game for Switch

Koei Tecmo is rumored to be bringing a brand new Warriors title to the Switch if Youtuber OBE1plays is to be believed. On his 8th day of ‘Switchmas ‘(12 days of Nintendo Switch leaks/rumors), he has stated that the company will be working with Nintendo once again to create a game similar to the Wii U’s Hyrule Warriors for the Switch. However, instead of using Zelda again, they will be opting for another IP from Nintendo’s vast array. Laura Kate Dale has taken to Twitter to confirm that what OBE1 stated lines up with her info, and that they will not be using the Zelda or Star Fox IP.

A common prediction in the community right now is that it could be a Fire Emblem Warriors game, which would make sense based on the recent popularity spike of the franchise. All will be revealed this upcoming Thursday when Nintendo has their Switch presentation, live from Japan. We will know the launch lineup, price, and release date come then so stay tuned and as always be wary of rumors until we hear it from Nintendo themselves.
