The official reveal of Marvel’s Avengers only happened three months ago, and while Square Enix did showcase that the entire cast for the band of heroes will be playable throughout the course of the game, other linked characters have yet to properly be included into the game leading up to this weekend. Announced at this year’s New York Comic-Con, Marvel released a new trailer announcing that Kamala Khan will also be available to play in the upcoming super hero title.

For the lighter reading fans, we’re talking about the alter-ego of Ms. Marvel: while not directly announcing her super heroine alias, she will ultimately be the fairly new hero. Expanding on her title-less appearance, Kamala during the events of the May-scheduled game she is posed a Avengers super fan during the time of learning about honing her newly developed powers.

Although there is another addition that will making her way to the game’s playable character roster, would it be enough to pull this Marvel project out of the current hole fans evidently associate the title with? Since the game’s June debut, players have been pushed away from the linear experience that kicks off the title’s prologue. But even following the redone demo that came in August, some still are not convinced otherwise.

Granted, the beginning experience does not dictate the overall game, but fans are vocal towards holding off on launch this coming Spring. Which does come as a surprise seeing that both Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal have partnered for the new Marvel game, this is not the outcome expected for a project that’s been teased since 2017.

The remainder of the game is said to included a open-world experience alongside cooperative interactivity with friends taking the roles as the Avengers, so Square Enix could potentially convince those initially anticipating if we see more of that side of the project prior to the game releasing later in 2020.

Marvel’s Avengers will be available on May 15, 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
