Naughty Dog is working on a standalone multiplayer game

We knew there was a chance to see Naughty Dog at Summer Game Fest due to the fact that The Last of Us Remake for PlayStation 5 had gotten leaked hours prior to the show. Neil Druckmann was brought on to discuss a couple projects that the team was working on including a standalone multiplayer game.

The standalone multiplayer game is titled, Factions 2 and it will have a strong story along with a new cast of characters. This game will be the biggest as far as map size yet from Naughty Dog. It’s also inspired by the iconic multiplayer mode that was in The Last of Us.

There wasn’t much more shared for this game besides the concept art shown above in the headline image. We will learn more about Factions 2 in 2023.

Neil had also stated that The Last of Us 2 sold 10 million units since its release.
