Gaming apparel no question has continued to evolve with new collaborations with select brands in recent years. One of the more popular partnerships is with Croc. The shoe company has show interest in select IPs as recent as this past summer. In July, it was revealed that a select line of shoes & Jibbitz were arriving based on Animal Crossing in a new arrangement with Nintendo.
Similarly, there has been other deals in the past too. In 2023, we saw Sonic the Hedgehog receive its own line of Croc items that spring. And even earlier that year, there was another collaboration with Minecraft as well. For the Xbox-owned IP, it was a surprise since the brand has a history of teaming up with Adidas as it did in the past for its anniversary in 2020.
Now this week, Croc & Microsoft have come together to announce a new Xbox Croc line that will be going live for purchase this Tuesday, November 25th. The Clogs themself will be inspired by the design of the Xbox controller whilst the themed Jibbitz will be donning logos from franchises like Fallout & Halo. “Ready up with this controller-meets-clog design that reimagines the iconic Xbox controller with fixed buttons and joysticks into the perfect shoe for couch co-op and kicking back – complete with cushioned footbeds adorned with Player Left and Player Right, which give expert-level comfort to support your next session,” Marcos Waltenberg, Xbox global partnerships general manager writes.
“No matter how you choose to play, or where your holiday plans take you – the iconic Xbox controller-inspired clog will be with you along every step of the fun,” the description added. The ‘Xbox Classic Clog’ will cost $80 while the ‘Xbox 5 Pack Jibbitz Charms’ will be priced at $20.
