
The Pac-Man franchise has been around for generations and continues to be celebrated now nearly half a century later. In collaboration with Krispy Kreme, it was revealed that specialized donuts from the Bandai Namco series will be releasing for its 45th anniversary earlier this year. Additionally, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble even featured the character as a DLC for its special occasion too.
Elsewhere, Bandai Namco did something special with Pac-Man concerning its newest game. Announcing Shadow Labyrinth, the firm takes everything you love of the IP and morph it into a metroidvania experience. It recently released earlier this month and breathed new life into the series with its unique take and impressive execution.
Now moving ahead, Bandai Namco announced the next project is a follow-up to Pac-Man World Re-Pac: it revealed Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
“Pac-Man World 2 returns in this modernized, enhanced, and upgraded 3D platforming adventure! Ghosts have snuck into Pac-Village and stolen the Golden Fruit, unwittingly freeing the powerful ghost king, Spooky! Pac-Man must venture across Pac-Land to reclaim the Golden Fruit and put a stop to the haunted mayhem,” Bandai Namco pens for the description.
Elsewhere, Bandai Namco also revealed a new original title for the Katamari Damacy series is on the way for release in October. It announced Once Upon A Katamari. You can read the full report by heading here.
