Paramount reportedly wants to acquire the rights for a Call of Duty movie

In the world of 2025, we have started to see many popular video games receive movie adaptations. The most popular ones are Minecraft, Sonic the Hedgehog, and the Super Mario Bros. movie. There have also been TV series like Fallout and Halo that have either become fan favorites or have not satisfied fans.

A new report via Puck News stated that Paramount is in talks to acquire the rights to make a Call of Duty movie. Apparently, this is a priority for Paramount’s new leadership.

No other details have been reported about a potential Call of Duty movie. Paramount had started getting involved with video game adaptations, with its most popular one being Sonic the Hedgehog. They also made a Knuckles TV show and Halo which is no longer getting any other seasons.

Activision or Microsoft has not responded to the recent reports. As usual, we must take this news with a grain of salt for now. However, it would not be shocking to see one of the most popular video game series get a movie.
