Pre-Orders For Gears 5 Go Up, Collector’s Edition Detailed

At this year’s Microsoft press conference in Los Angeles, The Coalition took sometime showcasing the upcoming Gears 5 title by detailing the upcoming Escape game mode, revealing details for more Horde mode info later at this year’s Gamescom, and announcing that the fifth title in the franchise will officially launch later this September.

Now with the release date out in the open, pre-orders for the title have gone up which applies to both the standard pre-order of the base game, Ultimate Edition, and Collector’s Edition for the bigger fans.

During the event at the Xbox Plaza, The Coalition detailed that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator will be making an appearance in the multiplayer portion of the game as part of a character pack for purchase. Those who pre-order will receive the extra content for no additional fee.

Including the film-adapted DLC, the Gears 5 Collector’s Edition will include: a custom steel case for the game, Dbi Collector’s Booklet, Dbi badge & Lanyard, DBi patch, designed collector’s crate, Limited Edition Jack Drone with controller, and an exclusive ‘Carbon Fibre’ skin for Jack.

The Collector’s Edition goes for either $249.99 which includes the bevy of items with the standard edition, or for $279.99 which will offer the Ultimate Edition of the game.

Gears 5 will be available for Xbox One and PC on September 10, 2019.
