WAVO POD Streamer Kit Review

$199.90

Summary

0/10

The JOBY Wavo POD Streamer Kit is all about quality and for $199 it's easily a steal. We recommend it for anyone who is looking to take their streaming setup to the next level.

JOBY has come out with a Streamer Kit that is aimed towards those who create content from a desk which includes Twitch and YouTube streamers. We at Rectify Gaming had the great opportunity to review the JOBY Wavo POD Streamer Kit.

The kit includes the Wavo POD, a USB plug & play condenser microphone and the Wavo Boom Arm which is strong and works perfectly for those that need a microphone that needs to be close to their face for the best audio possible.

Here are some of the features of the Wavo POD:

It features both cardioid and omnidirectional pickup patterns with 24bit/48kHz high resolution sampling rates for some silky-smooth sounds.

The simple and refined design empowers even beginners to approach Wavo POD the right way and record high-quality streams or episodes.

The voice is always under control thanks to a zero-latency headphone monitoring 3.5mm jack along the volume and gain knob with one-click integrated mute function.

When it comes to setting up the Boom Arm I found it very simple to set up on your desk and there are options to how you want it set up in your work area as opposed to similar products. If you want to have an organized work area for when you create content the JOBY Boom Arm is perfect for you. I’ve had microphone arms in the past and nothing compares to the one by JOBY. The instructions to set up is very easy as well.

One of the cool things about the WAVO POD is that it comes with its own stand if you choose not to use the Boom Arm. What comes with the microphone is a Pop Filter, Wheighted Base, U-Bracket, USB-C to USB-C and USB-A to USB-C.

The WAVO POD has the option to mute it with one click of a button and it has great volume control that is very simple to use. Underneath the microphone there are spots to put the USB-C and 3.5mm jack port so you can plug in your headphones whenever you record something.

If there was one thing I’d change about the Wavo POD it would be to have the ports for the headphones and wiring in a different spot. Maybe towards the back of the microphone instead of underneath.

When it comes to mics like this customers are always curious to see how they sound when recording. I found it to be very good when hearing back some of the recordings I already have done with the JOBY Wavo POD and I’m looking forward to using it more in the near future.

Overall, the JOBY WAVO POD Streamer Kit is a great option for those who are looking for a high quality setup for your live streams on Twitch, video content on YouTube or even for Podcasts. Personally I would recommend this Streamer Kit.

You can purchase the JOBY WAVO Pod Streamer Kit for $199.90 USD.
