
Earlier this Monday, RGG Studio’s latest release Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon was listed on Steam’s Database which grew anticipation for an announcement soon. Even more, the listing also entailed that the game would also simultaneously be receiving its debut in the western market as the title is currently only available in Japan at the time of reporting.
Now in a surprise reveal during today’s Inside Xbox live presentation, RGG Studio announced that yakuza 7 will in fact be arriving to Xbox One as well as Xbox Series X. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
The reveal surely comes out of left field since the property is still making its approach to the Xbox platform. Currently, users are waiting for the final promise of Yakuza Kiwami 2 which is expected to ship in the coming weeks for Xbox One. This virtually confirms that Sega is also planning to ship the filler entries for Microsoft’s platform if the current installment is slated to hit the current and next-generation system.
Elsewhere, the game also happened to be listed for PlayStation 4 on Amazon for the United States. However, no other ground breaking details has been shared from the listing since the rating is still pending alongside the placeholder release date for December 31, 2020 is branded on the page for the game.
While prior installments are only available on Microsoft’s Xbox One, RGG Studio shared that Like a Dragon will ship on the newer Xbox Series X as well. This segued to reveal that Smart Delivery support will be available for the game when the new console arrive later on this holiday season.
