Rumors have been going around about the next couple of Call of Duty games, with Black Ops 7 still not fully revealed. According to a reliable Call of Duty insider, TheGhostOfHope, Call of Duty 2027 by Sledgehammer Games will not be Advanced Warfare 2; instead, it will be a completely new sub-franchise.
Call of Duty 2027 is reportedly going to be set in the modern era, no jetpacks, but the movement will be a big focus. Zombies is not planned for the game, and lastly, Get High is planned to make a comeback.
It had already been reported that Sledgehammer Games would be developing Call of Duty 2027 with Infinity Ward leading Call of Duty 2026.
What Is A Sub-Franchise?
A sub-franchise example in the Call of Duty series would be Call of Duty: Vanguard, which was released in 2021 and received mostly negative reviews. Activision or Sledgehammer Games, of course, has not confirmed any of these details yet. As usual, we have to take these reports with a grain of salt.
In Call of Duty-related news, players may have to enter their birthday in order to play Call of Duty from now on. Black Ops 7 will receive its worldwide reveal on August 19 at Gamescom Opening Night Live.
