Earlier this year, it was upsetting to discover that 2020 would be the year that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment would embark the firm’s first ever press conference for E3. While the publisher does reside on the show floor during the annual event each year, it was reported that the company was scheduling to showcase a handful of anticipating titles during its own featured show rather than partnered reveals at another event.

The contents that were spared to be included revolves around the still-unannounced Harry Potter RPG that leaked back in 2018, Rocksteady Studios’ new project, and the continually teased Batman title from Warner Bros. Montreal. While the first two are due for an announcement soon, the latter is the topic of discussion currently. According to GameReactor, the announcement is closer than many would expect.

Regarding speculation for coming announcement this summer, the video game outlet claims that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment plans to still reveal the title in the coming months before the summer’s end.

Unfortunately, Covid-19 forced WB to stop its plan to gradually build hype before a full reveal at the company’s first-ever E3 conference, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see the game this summer. The plan is apparently still to show us the game within the next couple of months, and I doubt the pandemic and/or Black Lives Matter movement will change that, as the game is slated to release sooner than you might think.

While fans are told to anticipate the announcement in the near future, where exactly could we expect the announcement to take place? Well, on likely candidate is Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest. During the announcement of the show, Keighley unveils that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is a partnered publisher; foreshadowing a suspected announcement.

Speculating that there have been hints at the supposed Court of Owls title since 2018, it would be a very large dose of likeliness that we will see something regarding the title in the coming weeks. Elsewhere recently, artwork for a cancelled Superman title that was previously underway at Warner Bros. Montreal surfaced thanks to interested fans online, You can read the full report by heading here.

What do you hope to see for this supposed Batman title later on?
