Sagat joins Street Fighter 6 on August 5

During the Capcom Spotlight presentation held on June 26, the publisher shared news on a variety of games, including the first Year 3 fighter for Street Fighter 6. It was announced that Sagat will join Street Fighter 6 on August 5. 

The Year 3 character will be available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Switch 2. Crossplay will also be supported across these platforms.

Players will be able to travel to the awe-inspiring mountains of Thailand – and potentially even recognize a sizable statue in the background – as they visit and learn from Sagat as the newest Master in World Tour.

Capcom also shared that to celebrate Sagat’s upcoming release, the Sagat Arrives Fighting Pass will be packed full of Sagat-inspired content starting on July 4 and will also include content that can be used in Fighting Ground, like new EX colors for Ryu and Ken.

It was announced earlier this month after it released on Switch 2 that Street Fighter 6 has now sold over 5 million copies worldwide.
