EA Sports is obviously planning for its next game in the NHL series. Today, it was revealed on the official EA website that EA Sports NHL 27 is expected to release on September 11, 2026 with Early Access starting on September 4 for Deluxe Edition owners. If you are an EA Play subscriber you’ll also get 10 hours of trial like previous releases.
The information was first revealed by The Icebreaker on X (Twitter) who found the listing on the EA website. For now, we must take this with a grain of salt until EA themselves reveal the news.
What it looks like at least for now, EA Sports NHL 27 will not expand to other platforms. It will not be releasing for Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
The listing on the website has been taken down but a screenshot can be found below:

Normally the cover athlete and gameplay for the next NHL game is revealed in the summer at least a month ahead of its release date like we’ve seen in the last few years.
Will you play NHL 27 when it comes out?
