Google’s recently released stream-based platform Stadia despite its age has surely been weathered by the amount of criticism it received since mid November. One complaint worth addressing is the first-party lineup available: currently only offering Tequila Works’ Gylt, there is not much initiative to rush to the store for Stadia. The same can also be said for the platform’s indie game category which is fairly vacant due to lack of funding for titles to be port, reports share.

However, Google looks to be changing the current connotation for Stadia and its unique games as a new partnership has been announced with Splash Damage, The U.K.-based team is most known for its previous work on Brink, Arkham Origins’ multiplayer, and the matchmaking for Gears of War 4 & Gears 5.

In a new blog post, Splash Damage reveals to be working on a new project that is slated to disclose more details later on in 2020.

At Splash Damage we’re always looking to innovate, and always looking for partners and platforms that allow us to do just that. We’ve been huge fans of Stadia ever since it was announced and have been amazed by both the technology and passion for gaming that the Stadia team has. We’re excited to share more with all of you about this project in the coming months.

Aside from the team’s newly revealed ambitions, there is no other information that can be sparred on this unnamed title. However, it should be noted that this project might have been teased prior to the official statement made earlier today. Reflecting to the team’s 2020 employee benefits post, the wall on the back lists the projects that the team has worked on in chronological order. However, following Gears of War 4 is an “Unannounced” game.

Before jumping to conclusions, the image might be dated as it is well-known that the team’s involvement with Gears 5 following the 2016 title. Which does make this seem unrealistic not listing the new project and skipping to the next game which was share today.

What game do you think Splash Damage has in mind for Stadia?
