For Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation 5, the reveal for the next-generation console surely came to be a surprise for many as the system proved to be just as weird – or even more eye-opening compared to the prototype model for the developers kit. Howbeit, fans of the platform disregarded the appearance of the system with confidence another generation of high-quality games and new features are to be issued.

Howbeit, fans did begin to get creative with the architecture of the system and illustrated cool parodying designs and other editions of the PlayStation 5. But most not, many fans fancied the idea of a black version of the first ever white PlayStation. And yet, Sony has yet to press on the pursuit to create the model. Regardless, other third-party companies are working on it.

In fact, the system is being prepped for sale later this week. Delaware-based SUP3R5 announcing its own ‘Retro Inspired’ PlayStation 5 which will be launching this Friday. While not a direct reflection of the base PlayStation 5 SKU, this version comes in a matte black finish with the PlayStation logo colored as you would find in the early 2000s.

Our Retro Inspired PlayStation 5 Consoles begin life as a new PlayStation 5. The SUP3R5 team carefully applies the retro inspired design to each unit by hand, a tedious process that is performed with the utmost attention to detail and quality. The entire process is performed gloved and with necessary safety precautions, leaving your console, controller, and accessories untouched by human hands.

With this new exclusive line of PlayStation 5’s to enter production, SUP3R5 discloses that only 304 models will be built. The new edition running for $649.99, those who manage to snag a system will be finding the console at their front door by last spring the listing tells. Additionally, the controller also faces a retro black redesign as well.

Similarly, the PlayStation 5 was met with a separate redesign prior to its release from another firm. In September, Truly Exquisite launched pre-orders for the 24-Karot Gold PlayStation 5 with additional 18-Karot Rose Gold and Platinum variants. You can read the full report by heading here.
