In today’s age, games returning in new forms is always appreciated. And when beloved releases find new footing on new platforms it is faired in the same nature. Earlier this year, Ninjabee announced the Xbox 360 classic A World of Kefflings will be arriving to Steam. Similarly, Bungie offered the same treatment in the form of Marathon Classic as well on the platform just the year prior.
As for plans by Ubisoft, it has been committed for quite some time to Steam. It was back in 2022 that the publisher ushered its releases to the storefront once again with titles such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800, and Roller Champions then. And now years down the line, it is also issuing the same for select legacy releases it appears now as well.
On Tuesday, Ubisoft & Netflix is airing the new animated series ‘Splinter Cell: Deathwatch’. And as the stars appear to align, one of its titles is now available on Steam as well in a new surprise launch. Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow was also added to the pre-existing ‘Splinter Cell Legacy Collection’ bundle on the Steam store upon arriving today.
“Play as elite agent Sam Fisher and navigate through high-stakes missions across the globe, from the tense corridors of the American Embassy in East Timor to a high-speed train bound for Nice, France, as you race to thwart a global bio-terror threat,” the synopsis reads. “Evade, outsmart, and silently neutralize enemies with advanced gadgets and weapons, signature stealth techniques, and strategic takedowns.”
The overview continues: “Be tactical and leverage your environment as you face intelligent foes who react to sound, movement, and light, keeping tension high and every mission unpredictable.” A disclaimer was also issued, reading: “This is a re-release of the original game, not a remastered version. Aside from fixing critical issues, the game remains unchanged. Please note that multiplayer mode will not be available.”
Are you excited that Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow is available on Steam?
