On the PlayStation Blog, the release of the VR headset will be in October, and the price will be  USD $399 or CAD $549. The picture below shows what you would get if you bought the PlayStation VR. The camera is sold separate so that will cost another $60 so you are averaging about $500 with tax if you really want the camera.

The price of the PlayStation VR is one or is the lowest price you can get for a VR headset today. The Oculus Rift is $599, and the HTC Vive is priced at $799. This could mean that the PlayStation VR will be lower quality than the rest of VR headsets in the market but many PlayStation users will be glad they can purchase a VR headset without “breaking the bank”. An app called the Playroom VR will be available at launch, this app will include 6 free games to play with “friends and family”, indicating that PlayStation will use the PlayStation VR to be used with everyone.
