As of late for the ongoing mobile, augmented reality release that is Pokémon Go, developer Niantic in late 2020 launched seasons for the game. What this does is firstly welcomes Generation 6 Pokémon of the Kalos Region from Pokémon X & Pokémon Y. Even more, the titular update introduces Seasons: this enables players to uncover unique Pokémon during certain times of the year and greatly affects different territories as well.
Additionally, Niantic is also pushing the official HoloLens port for Pokémon Go as well. Back in March, the developer when presenting Microsoft Ignite 2021 featured a working build for the game. While fan-made versions do exist, this is the first implementation showcased by Niantic for HoloLens.
Now in anticipation for the forthcoming New Pokémon Snap, Niantic announced a new event will be taking place next week to commemorate the release for the game on Nintendo Switch. The event kicks off on April 29 and lasts until May 2.
In celebration of the release of New Pokémon Snap on Nintendo Switch, you can look forward to an event inspired by the photography-focused game and the Lental region where it’s set! Pokémon inspired by different habitats in the Lental region will be appearing more often in the wild and in raids, a new avatar item and sticker will be available, and Shiny Smeargle will be making its Pokémon Go debut!
As insisted by the new post, Niantic will be introducing unique Pokémon from the Lental Region, which is the setting for New Pokémon Snap. For those unfamiliar, Nintendo previous introduced that New Pokémon Snap is to launch on Friday, April 30.
Part of other collaborations with Nintendo, Niantic announced to be partnering with the Japanese company once again. But rather than a new Pokémon project, it will be in conjunction with Pikmin. The game is to be also accompanied by Shigeru Miyamoto who commented on the title’s announcement. You can read the full report by heading here.
