Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Arrives To EA Play/Xbox Game Pass Ultimate On June 24

This past March, EA Play reached its arm to branch over to Xbox Game Pass on PC. While the service officially arrived to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on console predating back to November last fall, the free perk officially shipped to the PC version of the monthly subscription service just this past month. That includes the EA Play List that comes to offer a vault of EA-published releases as well.

In May alone, Electronic Arts welcomed FIFA 21 to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate/Xbox Game Pass for PC by extension. However, that does not simply end there believe it or not. But, the publisher later went on to share that Knockout City developed by Velan Studios is also to debut at launch for EA Play as well.

Now in a new announcement on Thursday, Electronic Arts unveils that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is planned to arrive to the service as well at the end of the month, June 28. Of course, the agreement with Xbox Game Pass is to also administer the remastered title to console & PC subscribers of the program.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is a legacy re-release from developer Criterion Games. Originally shipped back in November 2020, the game is a sits as a pseudo-baseline test for the developer now helming its next project. Previously, Criterion Games was confirmed to be helming the next mainline entry as Ghost Games is renamed a support developer.

Elsewhere recently, Electronic Arts presses that a handful of classic Need for Speed titles will be delisted this year. That list includes Need for Speed Carbon, Need for Speed Undercover, Need for Speed Shift, Need for Speed Shift 2: Unleashed and Need for Speed The Run. You can read the full report by heading here.
