For those that might be in the loop regarding Nintendo Switch Online information in recent weeks, it is no secret that claims are circulating in regards to the monthly service welcoming new platforms. In that, a set of claims which were corroborated by Eurogamer told that the service is to further its virtual libraries with the addition of Game Boy alongside Game Boy Color.

Additionally, the rumor went on to further include the Nintendo 64 as a projected addition as well. The statement continued by insider Nate Drake to also incorporate a new tier for Nintendo Switch Online asking for a higher price point to include more platforms for the service. And one of the rumors ended up being true: unfortunately, the portable console remains in the past.

Nintendo during its titular Thursday Direct showcase unveiled that Nintendo 64 is coming to Nintendo Switch Online virtual library in October. Additionally, the Sega Genesis is joining alongside it then as well. You can read the full list of titles to ship for the platforms below:

Additionally, there are other promised properties that are also slated for the virtual libraries which include: Banjo-Kazooie,  Castlevania: Bloodlines, Contra: Hard Corps, F-Zero X, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Mario Golf, Paper Mario, Pokemon Snap, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

Of course, there is also two new wireless controllers to go with each of the coming virtual libraries respectively. Both the Nintendo 64 gamepad and Sega Genesis paddle will be available to purchase next month for $49 each. Nintendo also notes the add-on will act as an expansion for Nintendo Switch Online but did not disclose pricing as of reporting.
