From November to now December, immense consumer activity is at its height and beyond each year with the holidays right around the corner. For Nintendo, the firm continues to outshine previous records it set itself as each year arrives. Ahead of this holiday, Nintendo during its latest financial report disclosed sales now exceeding 93 million units. But, Black Friday was reported to be in favor of Microsoft believe it or not.

In one report from Ampere Analysis, the digital-only Xbox Series S machine was already report to be a key seller in “multiple key markets” from the research group. However, it was in a separate report from Adobe that really left an impression. From the one commercial holiday alone, Xbox Series S was told to outperform PlayStation 5 & even Nintendo Switch at the time.

But, that was only one small victory as Nintendo still remains victorious with the most sold units for November 2021 according to NPD Group. The statement comes following Nintendo selling more than 1.13 million units in the single month alone.

“With a wide-ranging library of games and three options to choose from between Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and Nintendo Switch – OLED Model, the Nintendo Switch family of systems offers something for everyone this holiday season,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America President. “As we head into 2022 and the sixth year of Nintendo Switch, the system continues to see strong demand. We look forward to even more people adding Nintendo Switch to their households!”

Elsewhere in one comment from NDP Group analyst Mat Piscatella, he explains that the amount of readied stock for the demand is solely why Nintendo is the most successful for November 2021. “It’s all about stock. The console with the most units in market will lead the charts. Will likely be the case for a long while.” he urged the same story last holiday when the Nintendo Switch outsold both Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 at launch as well.

All in all it comes as a surprise in the response from the market with Nintendo returning to first place after being overthrown by PlayStation back in September- ending the 33-week streak Nintendo Switch established. Even more is that Microsoft holds second place with PlayStation 5 following despite the milestones broken by Sony Interactive Entertainment. You can read the initial report by heading here.

Are you surprised with how performance concluded with consoles last month?
