When the PlayStation 5 was revealed, many fans were adamant to discover what differentiates the PlayStation 4 from its successor. For one, the shape of the console (literally) stands to be a unique creative decision. Not only that, but the homepage UI has also been drastically revisioned to deliver a fresh and cohesive experience for those planning to pick up the system.
Well, Xbox has a different vision in mind for its hardware. While Xbox One was fine, the firm ultimately decided to keep its layout akin to the older systems for the Xbox Series X|S. This drew some questions why keep both systems synonymous despite the capabilities of the newer machine. This came following the store revamp for Xbox that was also underway that same summer at the time.
On Thursday, Microsoft announced that the Xbox homepage dashboard will be receiving a revamp moving forward with plans to execute later on in 2023. Starting this week, Xbox Insider Alpha Skip-ahead Ring users will be able to access said build and shape what the final product will be.

“We are also exploring options for new game channels and collections when you scroll down that include content that’s curated for you based on things like the games you’ve played or how to make the most out of your Game Pass subscription,” the blog post continues. “We want to ensure this experience is the best it can be, and we know getting it right will take some time which is why we will be rolling it out slowly and iterating throughout the process.
“With your input, we’re looking forward to launching this new, better Home experience in 2023. Please share your feedback and be patient as we add, remove, and change features to optimize the experience.” Microsoft goes on to list some of the featured updates rolling out first which you can read below:
