Today the Pokémon Company announced that Ash and Pikachu’s journey is coming to an end after 25 years. There will be 11 more episodes for them and then their next anime series, Pokémon Ultimate Journeys begins.

This will be the first time the mainline won’t feature Ash and Pikachu. In the new anime there will be 2 new characters along with 3 Paldea starter Pokémon.

It’s going to be an emotional goodbye for those who grew up watching Pokémon the last 25 years with Ash and Pikachu. This comes after they became champions as well. The new series will begin in April replacing two of the most iconic characters in Pokémon history.
