Ever since the past Xbox Developer_Direct back in January, it is still baffling to realize that Redfall is shipping this May. In fact, the game is set to release just over a week away. So far, Arkane Studios shared some context on the new release. For starters, the game will require a constant-online connection to play – even in single-player. But, the team in one statement shares it plans to undo that caveat for the game.
Additionally, after controversy regarding the physical release of the game Arkane Studios told that tangible copies will include a disc copy of the game. However, the most controversial topic regarding Redfall is the launch supporting on 30hz upon release. The team did address a post-launch update for 60hz will be ready later on.
Even a Redfall Xbox Series X is our reality; although you do need to participate in a giveaway to potentially win the system. Part of the Xbox Design Lab, there will be specialized limited edition controllers for fans to celebrate the game’s release next week.
As you explore the thrilling world of Redfall, we are excited to bring you the newest additions to Xbox Design Lab with Redfall Limited Edition Designs inspired by the game’s characters. Choose from one of five inspired designs, each with its own curated color scheme to match.
Take your pick from the four playable heroes, Layla Ellison – The Telekinetic Threat; Remi De La Rosa – The Ingenious Ingeniera; Devinder Crousley – The Verified Cryptid Hunter; or Jacob Boyer – The Deadeye with an Undead Eye. And for those who prefer to embrace the darkness, the fifth design, Bite Back, offers a vampire-inspired look complete with red fangs and side caps highlighting the town of Redfall before and after the vampire invasion.
Each design highlights key aspects of each character and the game. Devinder’s top case mimics rust and steel from his many adventures hunting cryptids, while Jacob’s silver case is detailed with his hex pattern blue cloak and sniper scope markings. Layla’s bombastic two-tone black and purple top case is accented with white accents bursting with personality, and Remi’s top case shows off her robotics background with the same orange color as her drone, Bribón. You can also choose from one of four unique Redfall battery door engravings, offering a nod to different aspects of the game.

“To ensure you’re equipped with the best loadout possible, each Redfall controller offers a specific set of customizable colors that you can choose from. You can customize the D-Pad, controller buttons, bumpers, triggers, and back case to make the experience your own. Take it one step further through additional options such as an engraving at the bottom of the top case, opting for metallic triggers, or adding rubberized side and back grips for added support,” the post adds.
Recently, Microsoft as part of celebrating Earth Day revealed a unique ‘Remix’ Xbox Series X|S controller is being sold on the Xbox Store. Alongside donning Earth-tone colors and markings, the new gamepad is composed mainly of recycled discs, plastics, and water jugs. You can read the full report by heading here.
