Activision revealed more information about what players will carry forward into Modern Warfare III from the previous Modern Warfare. A few weeks ago we knew that Operators, Weapons and Bundles would transfer over to the new Call of Duty, but there wasn’t specifics yet.

Weapons and cosmetic content that was previously unlocked or is currently available to players in Modern Warfare II will carry forward between MWII and Modern Warfare III.

Certain Operators from MWII only if you’ve unlocked them. Those are the Base Operators that had a challenge attached to them from Campaign, Spec Ops and Raid. You’ll have to complete the challenge to have them transferred into MWIII.

Activision confirmed that all weapons in Modern Warfare II and their Blueprints will carry forward to Modern Warfare III. Just like the operators, when the weapons are associated with unlock challenges (which all of them are) you must complete the challenge for the attachments, etc to become accessible in Modern Warfare III. Blueprints available via Store Bundles will also be available for purchase in MWIII.

Here is more information from the FAQ:

The Base weapons available at the launch of Modern Warfare II at the level you progressed them to in MWII. If you do not own MWII, the same MWII Base weapons will be available in MWIII, ready to be unlocked via a challenge, and leveled up.

Any Base weapons unlocked during a MWII Season, Event, or other unlock challenge (e.g., the Tonfa Base Melee weapon, available only as part of the Vondel Event in Season 04).

Certain vehicle skins might not be available and Wartracks won’t carry forward along with specific Lethal and Tactical might not be available in Modern Warfare III.

In related news, the worldwide reveal for Modern Warfare III will be happening on August 17 in Warzone.
