The month of December might go down as a historic one this year because of the recent leaks on Insomniac Games revealing a large amount of information about the studio’s future plans and personal information. On December 20, 2023, it looked like Ubisoft was experiencing a threat as well which would have taken 900GB of data from the company.
According to @vxunderground on X (formerly Twitter), an unknown threat actor compromised Ubisoft. The person had access for only 48 hours until an admin noticed something was off and revoked access so the threat couldn’t breach the data.

They aimed to exfiltrate roughly 900gb of data but lost access.

The person who was trying to hack Ubisoft didn’t say how they did, but they looked through the company’s Microsoft Teams chats, Confluence, and SharePoint. One of the things they tried to do was exfiltrate Rainbow Six Siege user data but failed.
While there hasn’t been good news from the Insomniac Games leaks, this is definitely a good news story.
