Call of Duty leaks tend to always happen even years before its release these days with Call of Duty 2025 already reported to be a direct sequel to Black Ops 2 while 2024 is reported to be named ‘Black Ops: Gulf War‘. According to a new report from Insider Gaming, Sledgehammer Games is closing its main office in California to relocate to a smaller location.
Employees at Sledgehammer will have to temporarily work from home until they find a new office in a similar spot. The outlet also reports that Sledgehammer Games will be the main developer for Call of Duty 2027 while Infinity Ward will be the lead for 2026.
“It’s a move that comes at an interesting time for Sledgehammer Games, as it it was also announced during the Town Hall that the studio would be the main developer for Activision’s 2027 Call of Duty title.
Infinity Ward will be heading Call of Duty 2026, understood to be in the Modern Warfare universe.”
As always we have to take these rumors with a grain of salt, but Tom Henderson does have a good reputation when it comes to Call of Duty leaks.
Sledgehammer Games just released Modern Warfare III which had mixed opinions with its short Campaign mode.
