The gem that many were surprised to kick off a new phenomenon – Palworld – has evolved over the two years it’s been available. Last winter, Pocketpair teased that the game is to welcome Pal voting feature alongside crossplay co-op connectivity. By March that spring, Update 0.5.0 arrived delivering its promise alongside a fleshed out photo mode too.
On the tail end of 2025 in December, Pocketpair prepped Palworld with the ‘Home Sweet Home’ Update. The new title update included a major rework to the in-game building system alongside a collab with popular series Overkill. The following month, it was confirmed that Palworld is to expand to an entirely new medium. Pocketpair revealed a tabletop, trading card game is in the world.
Now this Thursday, Pocketpair launches Palworld 1.0. The announcement for the update was paired with the milestone for the game reaching 40 million players. You can watch the launch trailer in the video below:
Also, Palworld Official Card Game has been slated to release on July 30th for three major languages: English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. “As part of the brand’s global rollout, Bushiroad staff have been traveling to approximately 400 card game shops and venues across more than 18 countries and regions to host pre-release sales events and tutorial workshops.
“Workshops have also been part of major international events such as Anime Expo 2026 (held in Los Angeles, USA from July 2–5, 2026), and will also be held at the company-hosted Card Game Festival events in Singapore and Korea in August. Bushiroad expects approximately 15,000 participants domestically and internationally during these events.”
