Mario Kart 9 Characters Confirmed So Far

Since the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed and it showcased what we believe is Mario Kart 9, fans have been digging through the trailer to spot all the characters. As noticed in the trailer there are going to be 24-player races in the new Mario Kart which is double from what we see now in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

While Nintendo has not confirmed nor denied which Mario Kart game this is, we do have an idea what characters will be in the game. At the very least there will be 24 different racers in Mario Kart 9.

Below is a list of the confirmed Mario Kart 9 Characters that was also shared by @Switch2Stock on X.

As always we must take this with a grain of salt as some of these characters are based on very blurry zoom-ins from the trailer. If this remains to be true, all of these racers are also in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

What also stuck out in the trailer were the possibilities of outfits being available for each racer because Donkey Kong looks completely different. Peach looks slightly different as if she has an outfit on. The art style in general for the new Mario Kart looks improved compared to Mario Kart 8. Some gamers are referring this to as the “Mario Wonder” game of the series.
