While you were catching your typical Weedles, Pidgeys, and Rattata’s people have been downloading Pokémon Go on to their iOS or Android devices. Just about 7.5 Million people have downloaded the mobile hit in the United States alone according to Sensor Tower. Not only have the downloads have been going up but the game has pushed Nintendo’s stock up 25 percent on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
According to Sensor Tower, Pokémon Go is generating $1.6 million in revenue from iOS in the U.S. alone. Just imagine the sales on Android and if they put it on Windows Phone.
“Pokémon Go as so far managed to generate $14.04 million across mobile platforms since its release,” SuperData Research analyst Joost van Dreunen said in a statement. “[This puts] it ahead of other titles using the franchise, including Pokémon Shuffle Mobile which has earned an estimated $14.03 million since its release in August 2015.”
If you have the chance to download it go for it and go catch them all safely.
