In the world of streaming and content creation, we are always looking to upgrade our setup. Whether that’s getting a new desk, monitors, chairs, webcams, or microphones. One of the most important aspects of creating content is getting a microphone so you can clearly communicate with your viewers. The folks at NZXT have released its latest Elite line that includes the Capsule Elite USB Microphone.

We got our hands on the Capsule Elite and it’s safe to say this microphone exceeded our expectations.

NZXT Capsule Elite

First, let’s go over the features of this microphone:

Ultra-High Resolution: 24-bit depth and 192 kHz sample rate reproduce vocals with exceptional clarity and detail.

Full, Natural Sound: A large 25 mm capsule captures low frequencies and subtle nuances for rich, lifelike voice quality.

Optimized for Speech: Cardioid polar pattern isolates vocals from background noise, while the built-in pop filter ensures crisp audio.

Customizable Sound: Fine-tune EQ, noise suppression, mic monitoring, and more through NZXT CAM software, powered by DTS.

Multi-Position Design: Pivots, tilts, and swivels on the included stand or when attached to a boom arm for versatile positioning.

Right from the moment I did my first recording session for a video using the NZXT Capsule Elite, I was impressed by the quality. It’s true when they say it tries to keep background noise to a minimum. It’s also how my voice comes through the mic it feels stronger than similar products I’ve used in the past.

You have the ability to mute, and change the microphone volume, and headset volume all on the headset. Although there is the NZXT Cam software that allows for more customization, you can still adjust some of the important features right on the microphone.

Of course, in 2025 we need to have RGB. So the Capsule Elite does come with a little bit of RGB lighting on the back where you can change it on the software. It’s nothing out of this world, but I guess it’s something nice to have.

The Capsule Elite also comes with a basic stand which I would say could be the biggest negative for this microphone. It does the job but depending on your streaming setup at home you may want to invest in a better stand.

Verdict: Great Entry Level Microphone

Overall, the NZXT Capsule Elite is a great starter microphone for those looking to get into streaming or other forms of content creation. I went into using this product with lower expectations and walked out with them being exceeded.

It’s a step above some of the known brands out there. For the price of $89.99, you can get a lot of use out of this without breaking the bank.
