Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour will be around $6

While the Nintendo Switch 2 has been revealed to the public, fans are not happy about some of the pricing. It was announced that Mario Kart World will cost $79.99, while some Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games will cost the same. Donkey Kong Bananza will be $69.99, which is expected to be the price these days.

One of the games showcased during the Switch 2 Direct was the Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour. This game is a complete tech demo of how the console performs and learning about some of its components. The biggest frustration about this game is that it will not be a free game.

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour will cost around ¥990 yen which should be around $6.00 USD. An official price for North America, Europe, or UK has not been revealed yet. However, it is a lot cheaper than most expected.

This is what the Switch 2 Welcome Tour description reads:

“Explore basic features, like the magnetic connectors that keep the Joy-Con 2 controllers firmly attached, and more advanced tech details that you might not otherwise notice. Roam the exhibit halls, which resemble a giant Nintendo Switch 2. Discover hidden facts, take quizzes, and enjoy playful minigames and tech demos.”

There will be additional minigames and tech demos for players who own the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera.

Nintendo Switch 2 releases worldwide on June 5, 2025, for $449.99 and if you want the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle, it will cost $499.99. Nintendo also revealed Switch 2 Edition games which include Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Mario Party Jamboree, and more.
