Assassin’s Creed Shadows was the best-selling game in the USA for March 2025

Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed Shadows on March 20, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game also did not launch on Game Pass, and it still had a historic launch for the franchise. When it released it reached 3 million total players over just a few days, and since then, its sales have grown.

It was revealed by Circana via X (Twitter), that Assassin’s Creed Shadows was the #1 best-selling game in the United States for March 2025. It continues to be the second-best-selling game of the year behind Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds.

In other Assassin’s Creed Shadows-related news, it was potentially leaked by PEGI that Shadows will be coming to the Switch 2 in the future. Ubisoft is no stranger to supporting Nintendo’s platform. It was reported earlier in the year that half a dozen games are planned to come to the Switch 2, including Assassin’s Creed games.
