We are officially one week away from the release of the Nintendo Switch 2, and we have been waiting for the Switch mobile app to update. Today, Nintendo has officially released the update that will have Switch 2 features, including new ways to add friends and more.

Here is what’s new with the Nintendo Switch app:

  • Import screenshots/videos from Switch 2, including automatic uploads (up to 100 files, stored for 30 days)
  • Notifications for GameChat invite, friends online, friend request
  • Add friends via Friend Code/QR Code on the app
  • Friends status & play history activity

The Nintendo Switch App is now available to update if you had it already installed on the Google Play Store and the App Store

Previously, to get images that you took in-game onto your phone, you would have to scan a QR code on the console and connect to it on your phone. This way will be much easier for Switch 2 players to share their experiences online.
