NBA 2K26 releases on September 5 for Xbox Series, PS4, PS5, Switch, Switch 2, and PC

2K Games and developer Visual Concepts officially revealed that NBA 2K26 will release on September 5, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Early Access for NBA 2K26 will begin on August 29, a week ahead of the global launch.

Three-time All-Star Oklahoma City Thunder Point Guard, 2024-25 KIA MVP, and NBA Finals MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, will be the official cover athlete of NBA 2K26. Angel Reese, Chicago Sky Forward, AT&T WNBA All-Star, 2024 All-Rookie Team, and NCAA Champion, will be the face of the NBA 2K26 WNBA Edition, a GameStop Exclusive Physical Edition available in the United States.

2025 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, 10-time NBA All-Star, three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, and member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, Carmelo Anthony, will be on the NBA 2K26 Superstar Edition.
