UPDATE: After revealing its multiplayer, EA has confirmed Battlefield 6 is not planned to release on Switch 2.
Original: EA has officially revealed Battlefield 6 in its brand-new reveal trailer by also announcing its multiplayer reveal is set for July 31. They also confirmed Battlefield 6 will be coming to Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Will Battlefield 6 Release on Switch 2?
While EA has been open to supporting the Nintendo Switch 2 with the releases of Madden NFL 26 and FC 26 coming to the console, many wondered if the new Battlefield will launch on the console. As it stands, Battlefield 6 is not planned to release on the Switch 2. We wouldn’t count it out as a future possibility, but at launch, it’s highly unlikely.
Like we’ve seen with Borderlands 4, it may take slightly longer to port a large game like Battlefield 6 to the Switch 2. We also don’t know if the handheld console could handle a big game like Battlefield.
